The Finnish Game Foundation received a great support from BASC in the UK!
The Finnish Game Foundation was awarded a major grant for habitat projects from the Wildlife Habitat Charitable Trust Fund managed by the British Association of Shooting and Conservation.
BASC awarded a grant of €46 500 to the Finnish Game Foundation to support wetland work in Finland, in close cooperation with the SOTKA wetlands.
The period of use of the aid is distributed according to the wetland works
The support will be distributed to three different wetland sites around Finland, and will be used as the wetland work progresses. In addition, the landowners of the wetland sites commit to waterbird counts and small predator surveys at the sites for years after the wetland works are completed.
The BASC grant is the largest flyway-level (among countries along the western waterfowl migration route) funding received for wetland work from another organisation. Many thanks to BASC for their contribution to the restoration of Nordic breeding and brood habitats!
