The Raija and Ossi Tuulainen Foundation supports the Finnish Game Foundation’s restoration projects!

The Lemi-based Raija and Ossi Tuuliaisen Foundation gives annual grants for animal protection and game management. In the spring 2025 grant call, the Tuuliaisen Foundation awarded a total of 20 000 euros to the Finnish Game Foundation to be used for the Foundation’s restoration work. The Finnish Game Foundation thanks the Tuuliaisen Foundation for its support.

Raija and Ossi Tuuliainen, an entrepreneurial couple who love nature and hunting in Lemilä, wrote the foundation’s founding words in their will. The purpose of the foundation is “to support animal protection and game management work in the municipality of Lemi”.

The foundation was established after the death of Ossi Tuulainen and was entered in the foundation register on 14 May 1990. The first grant was immediately awarded for the protection of the Saimaa ringed seal.

The Foundation distributes annual grants in the form of a twice-yearly call for grants, with a particular emphasis on game management, animal welfare and research, nature conservation, the development of conservation attitudes and general nature education.
