{"id":6210,"date":"2025-01-29T09:27:18","date_gmt":"2025-01-29T07:27:18","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.riistasaatio.fi\/alue\/levajankka\/"},"modified":"2026-04-30T09:45:38","modified_gmt":"2026-04-30T06:45:38","slug":"levajankka","status":"publish","type":"alue","link":"https:\/\/www.riistasaatio.fi\/en\/alue\/levajankka\/","title":{"rendered":"Lev\u00e4j\u00e4nk\u00e4"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Due to its location and characteristics, it is expected to have excellent potential as an important breeding and nursery habitat as well as a resting area, especially for pintail, widgeon and bean goose, but also for a wide range of other waterfowl and waders.<\/p>\n\n<p>The land use of the area was modified through a joint project between the Finnish Game Management Foundation and the Sotka Wetlands to take advantage of the area&#8217;s natural tendencies and potential to promote game habitat and biodiversity.<\/p>\n\n<p>On behalf of its landowners, the Lev\u00e4j\u00e4nkk\u00e4 has been acquired specifically for wetland use to support the success of waterfowl in the area. Funds raised through the Foundation for the Lev\u00e4j\u00e4nki were channelled as part of the wetland agreement with Sotka Wetlands to support the landowners&#8217; co-payment.
